Our summer scavenger hunt took us exploring around Carshalton, with a fun twist: every photo had to be taken and edited on a smartphone or tablet. Even though I could not join the group on the night, I heard it was a relaxed, friendly outing that finished with a well deserved drink at the pub.

Everyone received a list of twenty things to find, but only needed to photograph twelve. It was a great chance to get creative, look at familiar places in new ways, and enjoy shooting with nothing more than the camera in your pocket.

At the start of the new season, we came together to share the results. Mark kindly hosted the session, even though he had not been able to take part in the hunt itself. It was the first time anyone had seen the full collection, and he had the enjoyable and slightly overwhelming task of choosing his favourites from each category. With 118 images to look through, we all agreed that next time we will keep the list a little shorter.

I have selected a few of the images to feature on the website, and it is a pleasure to showcase the creativity and enthusiasm that came out of the evening.
